Well, hello there!

Welcome to my blog: musings on business, retail, the wonderful world of parenthood and trying to successfully manage all three.

I run a gift boutique with my husband; this also presents its own unique challenges and is not for the faint-hearted. Based in the very fine city of Sheffield, we are lucky to be surrounded by many innovative and quirky independent businesses. We’re in a city of creatives, with a thriving antiques quarter and in our nine years of trading, we’ve seen many ups, downs, curves and wobbles in the fortunes of indie traders such as ourselves.

It’s not easy, but I can’t imagine doing anything else. I hope you enjoy my ramblings.
